Classic Bahnstormers – welder fabricator position

Position welder/fabricator at Bahnstormers HQ in Kemble, Gloucestershire 

Salary £37,500 per annum

Classic Bahnstormers is a classic BMW specialist based near Cirencester in the Cotswolds, concentrating entirely on classic and future classic BMWs. Classic Bahnstormers consists of a dedicated small team of passionate and highly knowledgeable people, ready to assist in every aspect of classic BMW ownership, from the supply of cars and parts, to the servicing and full restoration of these vehicles, which comprises the bulk of our business. 

 

We are looking for a full time welder/fabricator to join our workshop team. The successful candidate will support us with our growing order book for restoration work. This position would suit a meticulous candidate who is diligent and focused on producing a consistently high standard of work. 

 

The role entails the use of MIG and TIG welders with largely 0.9 – 1.5mm steel, and the fabrication and repair of vehicle bodywork. Projects range from minor cosmetic work to full bare shell restorations. You will need to work closely with project managers and technicians but the role also affords a large amount of autonomy and creativity to a successful applicant.

 

We are looking for an applicant who:

 ·      Can consistently meet the high standards of welding and fabrication that Classic Bahnstormers has become known for. 

·      Can work and communicate well as part of a small and dynamic team. 

·      Can plan and manage their workload. 

·      Whilst automotive industry experience is not necessary, we are looking for an applicant who is experienced with the materials and able to adapt immediately. 

·      Is comfortable with ambiguity and enjoys problem solving. 

·      Shares our attitude and alignment to the values of the business, in order to positively contribute to its growth and success.
