The E23 7 series has a rather complex HVAC system for its time however we have a complex skill set that can get your HVAC system working as it should. Update on our Hartge engine converted E30 touring. Having found a new custodian with whom we are excited to work. We have begun the project as promised to hopefully be finished in time for late spring.

Having been off the road for nearly two decades we aren’t taking any chances and the car is getting a full overhaul of all the major systems. Entirely replacing the bushes front to rear, brake system front to rear, overhauling the coolant system with all new parts, and the fuel system which is already partly done. The welding and fab work on this turned out to be much less than expected so we are off to great start. One of our techs now has a mountain of parts to replace and some diagnostic work to do and we are off to the races.

If you have a similar project you’d like to tackle then get in touch. We still have one appraisal slot left for February and a couple left in March so there’s still time to have your car ready for the spring. We can organise collection with one of our trusted and fully ensured logistics partners if needs be and walk you through the process of appraisal, identifying an agreed list of works and execute with regular updates and pictures.

Spring is coming and it’s time to get your Classic BMW ready for another season and what better way to start than with a service.

At Classic Bahnstormers we follow exactly the same service schedule as the main dealer would have when these cars where new (although often adjusted for time as deterioration occurs despite mileage or lack there of).

We offer oil, annual and inspection 1 and 2 service at fixed prices. Each service includes a safety check over which gives us the opportunity to bring any other important items to your attention so you can consider immediate or future rectification.

Following a good service schedule is without doubt the best way to keep your classic driving machine ultimate and what better plan to follow than the one BMW created.
