Car runs beautifully and drives quite well but is for sale strictly as a project with no MOT.

As you can see from the photos we cannot state clearly enough this car is covered in lacquer peel.

The panels are fairly straight and overall fairly free of rust. Doors seem pretty good and rear arches and boot lid also pretty rot free. The car has however failed it’s MOT requiring a repair to the NSF wing bottom and to the relief strip of the drivers wheel tub where it meets the chassis rail. We have NOT appraised this vehicle nor have we inspected the MOT failure work but would be happy to do so at the expense of any serious buyer.

The car drives pretty well having benifited from some fairly recent front suspension arms and bushes according to the history and the previous owner. It could probably benefit from some front shock absorbers as the ride is a bit boaty.

Inside almost everything works as it should, windows, mirrors, sunroof, OBC central locking. The NSR door has a lazy actuator but still locks and unlocks. There is some wear to the drivers seat, the door cards are all hanging but strangely the head liner hasn’t sagged at all.

Mechanically the car seems pretty good. Engine runs perfectly and sounds very healthy. It pulls well and is a very smooth drive. The only other noted item is the clutch bearing is getting a little noisey but no issue with operation. 4 Continental tyres all with good tread but wheels are a bit scabby and one centre cap is missing.

This car has amazing history having been owned almost all its life by one person.

The car came into us with an issue with the cluster which we have now resolved by replacing the original chip. Unfortunately, this has effected the displayed mileage. Mileage should be roughly 135k but currently displaying a lot less. Happy to explain what we have done in full to any serious buyer. The original chip remains with the car but has been spiked by the previous owner trying to jump start the car and destroying the chip.

The car is for sale as a rolling project for £2500 which is pretty well what it would break up for. Hoping we can find an enthusiastic owner to rescue what is a very worthwhile project.

The car has been sat in our dry storage since roughly 2014 and sadly we just can’t seem to find the time to get to it. Rather than let it sit and deteriorate any further we have decided to offer it up for sale for £3500 as it sits. Naturally we’d be very happy to quote for any work for a perspective new owner and particularly interested to speak with anyone who might want us to undertake a restoration on the car for them but it does need to find a new owner who can prioritise its recommission or restoration so please get in contact.
